Vx Advisor, the trusted multiphase metering advisor

Vx Advisor accurately predicts the performance of Vx multiphase meters under all operating conditions. Used in the design phase, Vx Advisor defines the specification of the meter for the entire production cycle taking into consideration changes of flow regimes, fluids properties, and pressures and temperature.

Vx Advisor’s strength lies in its ability to evaluate the performance of Vx multiphase meters in response to input uncertainty from one or several inputs with a high degree of accuracy. This sensitivity analysis provides the guide needed in field operations to optimally control and tune the inputs most important to a given output, be-it oil rate, gas rate, or water rate. The engine, a fast Monte Carlo Simulator (MCS), processes multiple-input spreads (mostly form PVT.) to provide measurement uncertainty results that are required to perform uncertainty based allocation (UBA).

Vx Advisor uses the models built in Vx technology (flow model, slippage, phase fractions) to predict the meter’s performance. The same models are also used in the meter’s acquisition system, making Vx Advisor an indispensable modeling instrument in any multiphase allocation scheme using Vx Technology.
